* Quiet as the whisper of silk against a bare leg, philly.com snuck a new blog, Mirror Image, in on us last week. Why we like it? Its writers include Elizabeth Wellington and Karen Heller, two female voices crying out for a more current, "live" venue in which to dish, snark, and bring the fabulous. Though you know, at least Nicole Richie didn't get her wardrobe from the "Today I Saw" Jurisprudence Collection. We just wish they wouldn't remind us that the Image section goes to press more than a week in advance. Yikes.
* Say heeeey to Jen Miller, author of an upcoming book about the Shore and now, blogger at Down The Shore With Jen. Her in-process book, to be published next year, is called "The South Jersey Shore, Atlantic City Through Cape May: Great Destinations," and we pray it doesn't include a mention of our beloved Cove Beach. It's already too crowded up in here.
* Found a note from one Austin Lavin in Ye Olde Inbox the other day, asking me to check out a new site run by dude and his 16-year-old sister, Celeste, called My First Paycheck. It's a jobs listing site for employers specifically looking for cheap, assumedly young, first-job type hires, and while the whole thing is so new the paint still reeks, it's a good idea and we issue good-luck noogies to Austin and Celeste. Yes, they have blogs.
